Lavi yawned. Perhaps he should stop doing the allnighter thing... but as a bookman, he had a lot of things to do right now.
sides, he couldn't really foccus his mind of the late.
He hated to admit it, but he missed Sam. As an exorcist, as a bokman, he was forced to move on, leaving the once he lost behind, but... she had left under too much of an awkward circumstances. Allen didn't want to tell much about it either... and to be honest, it just freaking hurted to have her gone.
He entered the cantine, pulling a straight yet sleepy face.
" 'sup?"

"g-good morning, Bookman-junior" said Miranda, who barely sleeps at all, exercising her usual black eye-bags around her eyes "you're up so e-early today, the rest seem t-to be still asleep" she fiddled with her fingers "w-would you like to drink something? I-I can make some coffee! ^^|||"

"oh, that'd be great, Miranda-chan ^^" he pulled a goofy grin and sat down. "Can't sleep either?"

"never had a good sleep in my life ^^||| ehehehe, ehehe... ^~^|||" she headed to make his coffee "b-but it's because of all the jobs I got fired from, which got me into this state I'm in" she looked at Lavi from the window "w-why can't you sleep? ....... i-ii-if it's ok to ask!!! o~o" she startled herself and almost dropped the cup, but saved it in the last minute "phew =/.\="

"well, you know, Bookman work and all and-...." Lavi stared at Miranda for a little, then sighed.
".......mah, I guess I could share it with Miranda-chan..."
he held his finger up and flicked at every letter. "L-O-V-E -.- I guess I miss Sam-chan fter all...."
He then continued: "Warm milk always works with me! 2 sips and I'm gone ^^ you should try too."

"m-milk?" she said as she headed to Lavi's chair, moving with cautious and hoping not to drop the cup over him "m-maybe I could try adding some to my before-bed coffee ^^|||"
the coffee safely reached his table, she sat in the chair in front of him "why did Sam-chan have to leave?"

Lavi glanced ahead. it'd be bad to tell everyone what really happened...
"For now, I know she's alive.... I know that for sure.
But why did she leave? Why?
She left her cloths folded. I don't think she was forced...
was it really only because-......"
He paused again. "I know Sam for years... Something's definitely fishy about her leaving."
After all, Lavi knew no one who hated the Millenium Earl more... it didn't make sense of Sam to leave.
tsk... if it were like this, he wished she wouldn't even have told him... for her to stay at the order... wouldn't that just have been enough!?

"d-did you try to contact her? Perhaps there's something she's hiding? Something that could explain her sudden defection..." she sighed "I'm sure she has a good reason behind her action"

Lavi shook his head. "I can't get in contact with Innana..."

There were soft foot steps outside of the cantene, signaling someone was coming. The door opened slightly and Allen stuck his head through the opening, only to jump at the sight of his two comerads.
"Ah! What are you two doing up so late?" he asked, trying to blow off the fact he was sneeking around for a latenight snack.

(Road: ALLEN!!! *rapeglomp*)

lavi looked up at his friend. "ah! that's, well-... can't sleep ^^'''' "

He gave a knowing expression to his comerad. "Its a mirical anyone can sleep these days." he said, sitting down and giving a nod of greeting to Miranda.

[allen:-flail/panic-]

Lavi gave him a short nudge against the head. "So how've you been, squirt?"

Allen scowled and shoved Lavi's arm away. "Name is not Squirt!"

[s-scrub?!]

Miranda chuckled "ehehe ^^' Good morning to you, Allen-kun .... o-or good evening? x.x||||" she shook her head "you can't sleep as well?.................... I-I hope neither of you had had bad dreams or something! OooO||||"

Allen put his hands up defensevly "No no, nothing like that!" he reassured her, even though it was a blaintant lie. His nightmares of the 14th had steadily grown worse as the weeks went by, but he felt no reason to burden his friends with the problem.

Allen resisted the huge grin that threatened to spill across his face at Lavi's words.

"come on! *w* let's go bother Jerry!" He pulled Allen along with a goofy grin. "Miranda-chan, want another coffee?~<3"

"h-hai! OooO" she said as she followed them "i-is he gonna be awake by now?"

"Wah? Lavi!" Allen cried out as he was pulled. "You idiot, we'll be stuck doing dishes all day if we wake him up!"

"it's fine, it's fine! there's always a night shift person around here ^^ Ello? someone there?"

a petite girl showed up from within the kitchen. "ah, y-yes, how can I-?" sHe gasped, staring at Allen for a while. "w-Walker-san! .O///O. err.... how nice to see you.."

"I-I hope we're not troubling you, miss ^^' but it seems like these 2 gentlemen" she pointed towards Lavi and Allen "are hungry, so it seems" her stomach grumbled along "^//~//^||| m-me too.... Orz..."

"oh? ...I understand ^o//o^~<3 What would you like? <:8#)"

"Stake! >o<" Lavi shouted.

Allen elbowed Lavi for being loud, giving Loufa a gentleman's smile. "If its not too much trouble, of course."
